Progress built together.
Digital Literacy in Schools
Digital technology is increasingly important to education, employment and participation in society, yet many learners in underserved schools have limited access to computers, digital learning resources, internet-enabled environments and teachers with the confidence or skills to facilitate digital learning.
This creates a gap between learners who have regular exposure to technology and those who have few opportunities to develop practical digital skills.
Development Corners works with schools and education stakeholders to strengthen digital learning environments and make technology more accessible and useful for learners and teachers.
Our approach combines access to appropriate ICT equipment and learning resources with teacher capacity building, practical digital learning, learner-led ICT activities and opportunities for schools to establish a stronger culture of technology use.
Where appropriate, we also explore community-based access to digital resources so that technology can support learning beyond the classroom.
What we aim to achieve
We aim to enable children and young people to develop practical digital skills, improve their confidence in using technology and gain access to learning opportunities that prepare them for further education, employment and participation in an increasingly digital economy.
Development Corners is a registered Zambian non-governmental organisation with certificate No. RNGO 101/1385/2020 committed to supporting stronger, healthier and more economically secure communities.
